I recently received an Influenster VoxBox for the Bite Beauty MCLC Campaign and I was beyond thrilled! This is the second VoxBox I've received from Influenster and, I have to say, it was a good one. I did receive this package for free for testing and review purposes, however, I will be honest in my "report" of the Bite Beauty products.

First off...What is Influenster?
If you know anything about Early Childhood Educators, then you'll know that professionals in our field do not get paid well. So, as a savvy beauty enthusiast, I'm going to find the best possible deals to suit my financial situation and the best deal is the free deal! I found Influenster when I saw a YouTuber post a video titled "How to Get Makeup For FREE!" You better believe your sweet tush that I clicked on that video. After she explained what Influenster was, I checked out the website. Then, I proceeded to Google reviews on Infuenster see what users had to say. Before long, I had signed up and was ready to receive any and all free products.
So, Influenster is a platform where individuals can discover, review and share their opinions on products that they're interested in...which is beauty related, in my case. There are millions of products available with information including pets, health, home, electronics, etc. Your chances of winning a VoxBox is based on your social media influence. They look at the number of followers and subscribers you have on all your social media platforms and determine if your reach is high enough to make you eligible for receiving free products. If you don't have a large social media following, it doesn't mean you're out of the running. If you are an active user and consistently posting reviews on the Influenster website/app, then you may still have a chance to win a VoxBox.
Cost of joining: FREE! There are no strings attached, you do not have to disclose any credit card information as they are not charging you anything. You will have to share your address with them if you want to be eligible to receive products, of course.

Now...About Bite Beauty.
I love the Bite Beauty brand. First off, they're a Canadian company based in Toronto, Ontario. Huge thumbs up from me right off the bat! Their products are infused with food-grade ingredients which makes them smell and taste great. The lipsticks (Amuse Bouche, Multistick, Matte Creme Lip, etc.) are all handcrafted one at a time and they also contain natural and organic ingredients - such as resveratrol, organic fruit butters and Manuka honey - which will provide nourishing and restorative benefits as you wear them. Resversatrol is an anti-aging antioxident which will help with smoothing the wrinkles and fine lines around our lips as we age. The organic fruit butters and Manuka honey lend themselves to the hydrating factor of the Bite lip products and make licking our lips less harmful and more tasty.

#TheMatteCremeLip, $28, 0.05 oz
I received three shades of the newly formulated Matte Creme Lip Crayons in my VoxBox: Cava (lilac beige), Glace (dusty mauve), and Red Velvet (rich, deep red). I knew right away that I would get a lot of use out of Glace as an everyday lip colour and Red Velvet during the holidays. I don't often dabble in cool-toned shades so I'm not sure how often I'll be wearing Cava, however, it is a beautiful shade. I think I would pair it with an eye look using the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette...I can see those two getting together to create beautiful harmony.
Ingredients:
Resveratrol (5mg) - acts as an antioxidant
Orange Peel Was - naturally protects and seals in moisture, provides a waterproof layer on the surface of the lips
Organic Fruit Butters, Jojoba and Castor Oil - leave lips super soft and hydrated
Bite Beauty claims that the Matte Creme Lip Crayon to be highly pigmented, matte yet moist in texture (aka creamy), water-resistant and long-wearing. They were indeed long-wearing and, while there was transfer from my lips to my coffee cup, they did seem to be water-resistant - I tend to dribble food and water down my lips and chin cause I'm a beast when I'm eating or drinking, so I can confirm that - and didn't feather along the fine lines of my lips. They are extremely creamy and supremely pigmented. In my opinion, I would categorize the formula to be more satin than matte as it does have more sheen than I expect matte products to have. I didn't find them to be as moisturizing as Bite Beauty boasts though I didn't find it to further dry out my already pretty chapped lips. It didn't emphasize any flakes or dryness on my lips, which I really appreciate, and was very comfortable to wear throughout the day. I much prefer the subtle scent of the Matte Creme Lip Crayons over the Amuse Bouche lipsticks, of which I own two: Honeycomb and Meringue. It has a more soft, citrus scent that isn't overpowering and it does taste great.

T-B: Cava, Glace, Red Velvet
I really love how it easy it is to apply this lipstick in the crayon form. The bottom end of each lip crayon hides a secret sharpener which comes in handy if you want to sharpen the tip once it dulls downs. However, because of the creamy nature of the MCLC, I would advise again it unless you REALLY want the pointed tip. It really creates a lot of wastage as a lot of the product gets stuck to the sharpener itself. I find that the pointed tip is mostly necessary for the deeper, darker shades (ie. Red Velvet), for which I will probably bust out a lip pencil, and I was able to get away without a sharp crayon for the nude shades, Cava and Glace.
PROS:
Opaque and highly pigmented, great colour payoff
Ultra creamy formulation, glides on like a dream
Long-wearing and comfortable
Water-resistant, so slurp away at that ramen
Variety of shades available
CONS:
I personally didn't find it as moisturizing as it claims, though I attribute that to the fact that I have aggravatingly dry lips to begin with
Pricey, $28 at 0.05oz each
Sharpener is useless as the product is so creamy
More of satin finish than matte - not for you if you want a flat finish

Red Velvet is my favourite and I'll be wearing it a lot during the holiday!
Will I be buying more? Yes, I do believe I will and I have my eyes on the shades Leche, Aubergine and Cognac.
Cheers,
Cassandra
